The solution is injected into the exhaust gases to break down soot and diesel residue (nitric oxide) into harmless steam and nitrogen. The end result is environmentally friendly and human-friendly exhaust emission.

An ISO 22241-1/2/3/4/5 industry standard has been developed to regulate the quality, circulation, transportation and storage of AdBlue.
